This Gibson ES-335 TD is a gorgeous 2014 Gibson USA ES-335 dot-neck in cherry finish, made in Memphis, TN. It is a Warren Haynes Celebrity Series 1961, an exact replica of Warren Haynes’s own 335 - “Big Red”.
Nicely flamed and figured , it has a very resonant maple body, sides and back with exceptional coloring. This one plays great with a slightly wider fingerboard. The sound from the classic BurstBucker 1 and 2 humbuckers coupled with Black Beauty capacitors provides a robust PAF-like tone. This model also features period-correct “Mickey Mouse” cutaways with historically accurate long anchors, studs, and truss rod.
One of the most versatile guitars available, this ES 335 provides the warmth of a hollowbody with the sustain of a solid body. The laminated flame maple body features a solid maple center block for killer tone. The one piece mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays for excellent playing feel and comfort. A Tune-O-Matic / stopbar bridge and Kluson tuners round out the features. This 335 - whether it be Haynes, Clapton or Carlton - is sweet when you want it sweet, and solid when you want to drive it.
